The Resilience Project Launch and Mufti Day Friday 19 February

The Resilience Project Launch and Mufti Day Friday 19 February

We are pleased to be introducing The Resilience Project’s wellbeing curriculum into our classrooms this year. The Resilience Project delivers emotionally engaging programs and provides evidence-based, practical strategies to build resilience.

Tomorrow, Friday 19 February we will be introducing the Resilience Project to our students. To celebrate and mark the launch of the project we will be holding a mufti day. Children are encouraged to dress in the colours of orange, purple, green and red which are the colours used to code the different elements taught in the programme – Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness and Emotional Literacy. (If children do not have clothes in this colour then any other colour is fine).

Children will take part in fun well being activities throughout the day and will receive a mini lemonade ice block (please note: may contain traces of nuts). Please contact your child’s teacher before Friday 19 February if you do not wish them to receive an ice block.

On Monday 8 March at 6:30pm we will hold a presentation for parents/carers in the Silverdale School hall to introduce the program and to share how Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness can be used to support our kids learning, and support you as parents and carers.

This program is an important part of our school’s effort to look after the mental health of our students. We will have child care available and drinks and nibbles will be available. Please save the date and we look forward to seeing you there!

The cost of the programme for each child is $10. A huge thank you to Kelly Club for their support in helping us to implement this programme.
