Country Show Day – 29 October 2022 – 10am to 2pm   This week is packet week: Please bring in jelly, pasta, muesli bars, dried fruit, bags of chips, sauce packets. Anything tasty and in a packet. Please remember all items will go into prize hampers so be mindful of expiry dates (must be after 31 December 2022) and only new and unopened items please!   If you rather not bring in items every week you have an option of depositing a $25 donation 12 3046 0231780 00: Reference: Raffle Item. Safe Holidays

I hope everyone has a safe holiday and enjoys time spent with family. Spending time with your family is very precious and we all should make time to do this. Time is the most precious thing you can give to your children.

Key messages from the Prime Minister’s COVID-19 announcement

The Prime Minister has advised the outcome of the review of alert level settings made by Cabinet.

From 11.59pm Wednesday 23 September, Auckland will move to a full Alert Level 2 setting (no additional restrictions). This level will be in place for 14 days (1 transmission cycle).

The remainder of New Zealand moves to Alert Level 1 from 11.59pm tonight, 21 September.

Cabinet will meet again on Monday 5 October to review alert level settings. If New Zealand remains on track (continuing as we are now), the intention is for Auckland to also move to Alert Level 1 on Wednesday 7 October.

For those in Auckland

  • The key change will be limits on social gatherings will increase from 10 to 100.
  • Face coverings remain required to be worn on public transport (but not for children under 12, and does not apply to school transport).
  • Face coverings will be required to be worn on any planes going to, from or through Auckland.
  • Aucklanders are asked to take their alert level settings with them when they travel outside the region, including large scale gatherings. 

For everyone

  • Please continue to stay home if you are sick and get tested if recommended to do so.
  • Maintain good hygiene practices.
  • Scan into places through the NZ COVID Tracer app or keep a good record of where you have been, to support speedy contact tracing.

Is your child interested in joining the School Cheer Team?

Due to overwhelming interest, we will be having two teams, one for Year 3 & 4 and one for 

Year 5 & 6 students.  Boys and Girls.
Training sessions start during lunchtime on Fridays, beginning Week 1 of Term 4! 

The cost to be part of this amazing experience is $60 per term, payable to Crave Athletics.  Team numbers are limited. To avoid disappointment complete the online signup form to secure your child’s spot.

Quiz Night FAQs

 Do I have to be good at quizzes to go to Quiz Night?

Absolutely NOT! Quiz night is just an excuse to get out the house and have a fun time without kids around.

How many people do we need for a team?

Teams of 4 and Teams of 8 are encouraged to register. However, if you want to participate and need help organising a team, just email us at silverdalepta@gmail.com and we can help you out.

Do teams dress up?

Yes, teams dress up. We will even have a prize for best dressed…however, this is not a requirement! Feel free to just come as you are.

Do we need cash, or can we bring cards?

We will have one Eftpos machine site, but bring cash to keep the lines shorter, get your drinks faster and be able to join in on some games and raffles.

CREDIT CARDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

What can I buy at Quiz Night?

Drinks: Beer, wine and soft drinks will be available for purchase.

Food: Teams will be given  the opportunity to buy pizzas from Northern Union which will be delivered on site. Teams are also encouraged to bring nibbles for their table.

Hampers and games: We’ll have some awesome hampers to raffle off and some games to keep you entertained throughout.

Hibiscus Coast Summer Footy is coming in Term 4!
Get your teams together because Hibiscus Coast AFC is running the hugely popular Summer Footy season again from Monday the 12 th of October for 9 weeks to Monday 14th December at Stanmore Bay Reserve from 4.00pm to 7.00pm each Monday.
 
Summer Footy is for school friends to enjoy playing football in a social, FUN environment and a great opportunity to get out and enjoy the long evenings on beautiful Stanmore Bay.
 
Teams are traditionally made up of classmates from school and organised by parents. This year we have five-a-side competitions for years 0-2 and 3&4 from 4-5pm, and seven-a-side competitions for years 5&6, 7&8 and 9-12, with girls only league as well (numbers permitting) from 5-7pm. The cost is $40.00 per player.
