Sickness
We are noticing that we are sending a lot of children home with a tummy bug. Advice from the Ministry of Health on vomiting and diarrhoea bugs is: Don’t go to school, early childhood centre or work until well and for 48 hours after the last episode of diarrhoea or vomiting.
To help contain the spread please don’t send your child to school for 48 hours after last episode of diarrhoea or vomiting.
Drop-off/Pick-up
With the volume of traffic in and around school, please be patient and mindful during drop-off and pick-up times. We urge all families to strictly follow the 40km/h speed limit outside the school gates and to use the designated crossing points. The safety of our tamariki is our highest priority.
Mobile Phones at At School
Please remind your children who bring mobile phones to school that they must be handed into their classroom teacher at the beginning of the day and then they can collect them at the end of the day.
Hats
Please make sure that your child has their school hat at school. The wearing of the school hat is compulsory during term 4. Children not wearing a school hat will have to sit in a shaded area during break times.
