Room 17 Writing

Room 17 has been writing about how to be safe while using our stairs.

How to Keep Safe on the Stairs

Do not run or jump on the stairs. If you are running or jumping on the stairs, stop! and try to remember the rules. The rules on the stairs are to keep to the left side and do not jump or run. The stairs are one of the most dangerous places in the school because you could trip up! If people are not following the rules, try to tell the person to follow the rules. Tell the person you could get hurt! There are a lot of stairs so there is a high chance you could get hurt. Walk quietly so classes do not get distracted. The stairs are yellow and grey. The yellow on the stairs is because it can get very very very dark outside and the yellow is there so you can see where you are going to step.

Thomas McPherson, Room 17

How to Keep Safe on the Stairs

When you are on the stairs keep to the left, no pushing and walk quietly and no running because you need to be safe. Aaaah! You might get hurt, that’s why. Please walk slowly and carefully because some other people might get hurt more than you. If you are on the stairs hold the rail lines and let other people pass without making chaos. If other classes are working you have to walk quietly and walk slowly because you might disturb them. Other classes might say stop shouting and screaming and running!
