School Closure – Thursday 23 October due to NZEI teachers, support staff and principal strike.

Kia ora Silverdale School Whānau,

We are writing to inform you that Silverdale School will be closed on Thursday 23 October due to strike action by members of NZEI Te Riu Roa, the union representing many of our teaching staff.

Unfortunately, due to limited staffing on the day, we are unable to safely open the school and ensure appropriate supervision and care for our students. The health and safety of our tamariki is our highest priority, and we appreciate your understanding during this time.

We acknowledge the disruption this may cause to your whānau and thank you for your continued support of our school community.
