You can. You need to report to the school reception where you will need to sign your child out. Your child/ren will be called to meet you at reception. Please do not go directly to your child's/chilren's classroom/s.
A menu form is available from the office. The child's full name, room muber and the order is written on an envelope and includes payments. This is then handed to the class teacher for collating before 9am. Orders can not be accepted after this time.

Our school is fortuntate to have a wonderful PTA who have a strong commitment to raising funds to improve our school's facilities. If you are interested in coming along to a meeting, with no obligation to join or commit, please watch the school newsletter for the date of the next meeting.
The PTA organise our Country Show Day, school discos, social functions for the parents such as Trivial Pursuits, a variety of raffles, calendar promotions and many other fundraising activities.
Yes parents and caregivers are always welcome to come into school to help in a variety of ways. Please see the class teacher initially or pop into the office and talk to the staff there.
The teachers will be happy to discuss your child's progress informally at any time. There is a teacher / parent interview twice yearly (Term 1 and 2) and currently porfolios reporting on student achievement are sent home in Terms 2 and 4. Other formal meetings may be arranged with your child's teacher.
Children are sent to the office with a note from the teacher. The First Aid trained office staff tend to the child in the sick bay and if deemed necessary the parents are contacted. It is important that you advise the school office immediately if you have a change of phone number.

There is an after school care facility run by Penny's Place in the Hall from 3pm - 6pm. Please contact them directly on 09 426 8722.
Each syndicate organises cross-grouping for those children who need to work with others of the same ability for maths, writing and reading. We also run a GATE (Gifted and Talented) programme for those children identified by assessments by GATE staff and by the classroom teachers in Terms 1 & 2.
Our current roll is 270 and growing!
The current donation is $195 per year per child reducing to $180 if this is paid by the end of March. This can be paid termly or by other arrangement. Contact the office 09 426 5510 to arrange. The cost of trips or activities are on a user - pays basis.
Most concerns are best dealt with by the class teacher. If necessary this can be followed up with a meeting with a Syndicate team leader, Deputy Principal or the Principal.
Any incident reported by a child about verbal or physical bullying is dealt with immediately by the teacher, duty teacher, Deputy Principal or Principal, as applicable. Our school has a policy of zero tolerance to any form of bullying.
There are a range of programmes available if a child is identified as having learning difficulties. These include Buddy Reading and Writing, Reading Mileage, Radical Readers Club, Rainbow Reading, cross grouping, small group support, and Reading Recovery. If more support is needed, our SENCO, (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) becomes involved and with your permission contacts the appropriate agencies.
Yes the school uniform is expected to be worn by all children and this can be purchased directly from The School Uniform Company Ltd. sales@schooluniform.co.nz. Order forms are available from the school office.
There are stationery lists available from the office, or you can ask the class teacher.

PEAKS is a home learning programme designed to acknowledge student's ongoing commitment to an activity. Activities focus on PARTICIPATION; ENVIROMENT; ACTION; KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS. Further information os available from your child's class teacher.
Each syndicate plans homework activities each term which are designed to complement the class programmes. These are commonly reading based, spelling and learning basic facts.
